GAMCA Medical & Visa Process

1 min readAllied Services International

Understanding the GAMCA medical test, what doctors check, and how medical results affect your visa.

Approved centres only

A medical certificate from any clinic other than a GAMCA-approved centre will not be accepted by the embassy. Always book through the official channel (gamca.org or your licensed recruiter) rather than an unverified "agent" offering a faster result.

Quick Facts at a Glance

Who Needs It

Anyone travelling for work to a GCC country on a work, residency, or family visa.

Countries Covered

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain visas all require it.

Approved Cities in Pakistan

Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and other major cities.

Who Runs It

Centres are registered with the Gulf Health Council (GHC) and run the standardised GCC medical exam.

What the Test Includes

  • Physical examination
  • Blood tests
  • Chest X-ray
  • Additional screening as required by the destination country's protocol

Results are sent electronically into the embassy visa pipeline directly from the centre — you don't carry paper results yourself.

Documents to Bring

  • Original passport (6+ months validity)
  • Printed appointment slip/token
  • 4 passport-size photographs
  • Visa copy or job offer/reference letter, if already issued

Some centres require fasting before blood tests — confirm this when you book your slot, since arriving unprepared can mean rebooking.

Medical Fees (Real Numbers)

ItemApproximate cost
GAMCA medical fee (at the approved centre)PKR 25,000
Appointment/token feePKR 4,500

These are 2026 figures and can change — confirm the current fee when you book. Note that new health-screening protocols took effect from February 2026, so ask your centre if any additional test now applies to your destination country.

If You Are Declared Unfit

The most common reasons for an "unfit" result are tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis, and uncontrolled diabetes. An unfit result is not automatically the end of the process — treatment and a re-test are possible for several of these conditions. Allied guides candidates through the required treatment path and coordinates a re-medical once you're medically cleared; don't accept an unfit result as final without asking what your specific options are.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain all require a GAMCA/GHC-approved medical exam before your visa is issued.

How much does the GAMCA medical test cost?

Approximately PKR 25,000 for the medical exam itself, plus a separate PKR 4,500 appointment/token fee. These are 2026 figures and can change — always confirm the current price when you book.

What documents do I need to bring to the medical centre?

Your original passport (valid 6+ months), your printed appointment slip, 4 passport-size photographs, and your visa copy or job offer/reference letter if already issued. Some centres also require fasting before blood tests, so confirm this when booking.

What happens if I'm declared unfit?

The most common reasons are tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis, and uncontrolled diabetes. This isn't automatically final — treatment and a re-test are possible for several conditions. Allied guides candidates through the required treatment path and coordinates a re-medical once cleared.

What happens after I pass (FIT result)?

A FIT result unlocks embassy visa submission. From there the sequence runs: client approval → medical FIT → biometrics/NAVTTC (Saudi trades) → embassy → visa stamped → ticket and travel.
